Dear Owners:
OUR GUARD GATE
For the past 6 months we’ve been working with Allied Universal to get our guards up to speed on our needs for security. To say it simply, it’s been a struggle.
As you all know, for the past several months the guards have been allowing unauthorized visitors into our property (both into Exeter as well as Granville).
We’ve had unmarked vans, u-hauls, tractor trailers, service companies, delivery and pick-up coming and going without authority to enter our property.
Yesterday, I gave Allied Universal a final call to let them know, IF THIS DOESN’T STOP, WE WILL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER SECURITY COMPANY TO MAN OUR GATE HOUSE.
Last evening and again today, Allied Universal sent us their TOP supervisor to work with our guards in the correct procedures at our gate.
IF SOMEBODY IS TRYING TO ENTER OUR PROPERTY AND ISN’T IN THE COMPUTER GUEST LIST OR CALLED IN BY PHONE, THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY. This goes for both Exeter as well as Granville’s visitors.
The GUARDS will NOT call the resident to get permission to allow someone to enter the property; this is the FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE UNIT OWNER.
The guest will be asked to leave and the guest will have to call the unit owner to be added to their visitor list or the unit owner can call (888-994-4117 or 954-420-7255) to allow that guest to enter the property that day or the next day. If someone is already on your permanent list, you don’t have to call them in again.
The unit owner responsibility is to add their new visitor / guest onto their Dwelling Live list. This means, friends, family, DELIVERY PEOPLE, SERVICE PEOPLE, AIDS, FOOD DELIVERY, WALMART, PUBLIC’S CVS, WALGREENS, PRIDE, ECM, ETC, basically anyone that you’re EXPECTING to come to your home for any reason. There are exceptions but very few, such as unexpected deliveries from UPS, FEDEX, Amazon, flowers for Mother’s Day and something for Father’s Day that’s unexpected.
We’re paying a lot for security, so we need to use it properly. If someone that you’re expecting gets turned away because YOU failed to notify the gate house, that’s on you.
Don’t blame the system.
